I have no problem with CNN most of the time. Let me state that for the record right off the bat. Hey, it's better than the "Fair and Unbalanced" Fox News Channel. Yet I still have to admit some things on there blow my GenX mind right out of my skull. One such instance is the '90-Second Pop'. I simply don't see why anyone should give two shits about what these idiots have to say. I look at the freak show they parade out every morning. Trust me I don't want to look, but it is the equivalent of a really bad car crash. You just can't keep yourself from watching. They talk about stuff that has no significance in the day to day lives of actual people.
Holy crap, Paris Hiltons phone has been hacked and some really important people had 100's of calls in an hour. Lindsay Lohan, I am truly sorry you are a goddess, but I don't care if you had to change your number over this. I am too busy sitting at work and trying to eek out my meager existence in the corporate rat race. Why not focus on the real issue here. Like have a segment on how to better secure you phone, some social engineering here folks. The other is when they talk about how cool or un-cool something is. I am not the average American, not your run of the mill, drooling idiot explaining how the tornado sounded like a freight train before it blew my trailer away and with it my nascar collectibles. I know what I like, and can easily make it through my day sans their input on what they think I can't live without.
Just give me the good news coverage of things that affect my day to day life. Like what bills are in congress. What is going on in the economy? Yet the fine air time programmers at CNN have decided that this is more important. Sorry, you are zapping 90 seconds of my life and there is nothing we can do about it. Oh and please bookend this segment with some commercials, thank you CNN. We are hovering in that two and half minutes of my life wasting mark.
Some of you ask, 'Why don't you just change the channel?' I like my job and we aren't allowed. Others may put me to task and say... 'Do your work!' To those people I say mind your own damn business. Plenty of work is completed by me in my eight hours here at the Ministry of Insurance. I guess in some ways maybe they are saving me from stories on what countries have the highest per capita percentage of 'evil-doers'. They are saving us from ourselves, or are they. CNN thinks so. There is the real problem maybe they are doing too much of the thinking for us. I don't care if Martha Stewart gave the paparazzi in front of her house coffee. Oh no some famous person survived cancer! It's a miracle. Mean while thousands of people do this everyday. Mister/Misses famous you are special. That’s right hop up on your pedestal, nice... Who cares about this privileged jackass with tons of medical coverage and the money to seek the care we can only dream of getting. Am I suppose to be inspired?
Well, this is just my rant for the day. I guess I had better get back to work so I can go buy what the freaks of the '90-Second Pop' tell me to when I get off work in the morning!?! Peace out!

The Secondary
Well, the second installment on my site. What to say, what kind of profound comment can be said on a day were I show up late for work? Today isn't going as well as I would like, but not everything is bad. I was late because of laundry. Yes I know. It sounds stupid, but I had to get it all done. My new place doesn't have washer and dryer hookups. So I am stuck doing it at a friends place or the ghetto ass laundry mat over by my house.
There are some good things about today. I finally have my main computer at home up and running. Yeah, I know. Big freakin' deal. That is what is going through your head. Well, it is a partial victory and one I am happy about. Let me revel in my little victory. I kick ass, this is well documented. Moving on. I wanted to install Fedora Core 3 using the raid controller I have on my motherboard. No dice. So I threw Win2k on it and in defeat to the computer/OS gods put linux on a regular drive. Not really a big deal. But not what I was wanting. In the words of the immortal Rolling Stones "You can't always get what you want, but if you try sometimes you windows!" Or something to that effect.
That is all for now.

Cherry Blog
This is my first post on my blog. I am not sure what commentary or meaning this blog will ever have, so don't expect too much. I have been reading about this and thought that it would be a good way to chronicle my random thoughts and ideas. Sort of a electronic way of tracking my everyday exsistance. This is enough for now, so I bid this installment farewell.
